Ladybug Cake for a New Little Lady

I made this cake for a cousin's baby shower. She's doing the nursery in pink and brown and ladybugs. This was made to go with that theme. It's a yellow cake, flavored with sweet cream. Strawberry cream filling. Covered in fondant with fondant grass, dots and ladybugs. The brown is melting chocolate. I discovered letters are incredibly easy to make with that!

Little Lady

I've had this cake pan for years. This was what Annlee's 2nd birthday cake looked like. I've always thought it was a cute one, so I was glad to be able to use it again for a little girl's 3rd birthday. It's a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. The key to getting the black buttercream? Start out with chocolate icing! The secret to the red is just to use a lot of coloring!

Shell Collecting

I loved these chocolate sea shells I made for Annlee's end of the year preschool program. It's always a beach themed program and these were fun to bring! I especially loved the marbled looking ones. They looked real!
