Beach Time!

My first cupcake order! I made these for a 30th beach birthday and had so much fun with all the little decorations to go on top! That part (all marshmallow fondant) took awhile, but once those were done, the cupcakes came together pretty quickly. 1 1/2 dozzen cupcakes, half yellow cake, half chocolate fudge. Iced with buttercream icing. The sand is crushed nilla wafers mixed with crushed graham crackers. They are packed to travel. And they are packed in a box with my new labels I just printed off last night.

Happy Birthday to Me

I had a few extra cupcakes left over from an order and decided to make each of us a cupcake to enjoy after my birthday dinner. These were my first fondant flowers. They were amazingly easier than I had expected! Cupcakes are yellow cake and chocolate fudge, vanilla buttercream icing, MMF flowers, edible pearl decorations.

Pop!

Whether it's fireworks or cake, we all enjoy a good "POP"on the 4th of July! These were my first attempt at cake pops. The star is fondant and various sprinkles, they are covered in white chocolate and on the inside they are cookies and cream! They certainly weren't easy, but were fun and very tasty!

A Summer Snack!

Made this watermelon cake for a dessert for a dinner party with friends. White chocolate cake (with pink food coloring) and almond buttercream icing, chocolate buttercream seeds. They are 6 inch round cakes cut in half

These cupcakes were made for a very special daddy for Father's Day! They are white chocolate cake with almond chocolate buttercream icing and candy decorations.

Crazy Letters

I had just enough dough left over from making those Lydia dress cookies to make the first letter of each of my girls first names. I surprised them with them after lunch as a special dessert. They were thrilled. I used all the colors of icing I had on hand because for my girls, the more colorful - the better! They might look a bit tacky to most people, but not to my crazy girls! (You should see the cookies they made themselves one day as a craft project! Talk about tacky cookies!)

Lydia Cookies

I needed a purple snack to take to Sunday School the week I taught about Lydia, the seller of purple cloth. I had extra cookie dough on hand already, so I threw these together the night before. My class full of little girls loved them!
