Try those flavors with one of these fall frostings:

You could even pair one of these with a Pumpkin Fluff filling! Yum!

Ladybug Cake for a New Little Lady
I made this cake for a cousin's baby shower. She's doing the nursery in pink and brown and ladybugs. This was made to go with that theme. It's a yellow cake, flavored with sweet cream. Strawberry cream filling. Covered in fondant with fondant grass, dots and ladybugs. The brown is melting chocolate. I discovered letters are incredibly easy to make with that!

Bouncing Bundle of Joy... Girl or Boy?
These cakes were made to reveal the gender of a baby. The inside of one is dyed pink, the other is blue. The mom was going to pick them up, then go to her appointment, then go out of town to reveal the gender to her family - thus the need for two cakes. They are iced in buttercream with fondant decorations. Both are 6inch squares.

Banana Pudding Cupcakes
Does God Have a Favorite Color?
That was our theme for the kids summer sunday school. They learned about various Bible stories have to do with different colors and then on the last sunday, they talked about all the colors. It was a cute series and they all seemed to enjoy it. I wanted to bring a special treat for the last day yesterday and this is what I came up with... rainbow cupcakes. It's really not too hard if you want to try it and kids will love it! It makes for an impressive snack!
First, mix up a white cake box mix and divide it into 6 bowls and color the batter. You have to use more red coloring than the others, but it really doesn't take as much coloring as you think it might to get these vivid colors.
Put your cupcake papers in a pan. I did 24, but I think it would be better to start out doing 22 or so. You can always do the last 2 if you have enough batter left over, but I started running out of a couple colors and had to skimp on a few cupcakes - not that I think anyone noticed, but still.
Put a spoonful of each batter into each cupcake paper, pouring the next color gently on top. It doesn't have to be perfect, but be sure not to mix it at all so the colors stay separate.
When they come out, the colors are even prettier!
I iced mine with white buttercream to give the effect of a cloud. I iced these late on Saturday night and was ready for bed, so I didn't try anything fancy. But it would be pretty to make it even more "cloudlike"!
The best part though, is biting into it and seeing the colors all the way through! They definitely made a hit at Sunday School!

Basket of Apples
This seemed an appropriate first day of school snack. You know - an apple for the teacher. In any case, everyone liked them and it was anothe fun thing for my girls to get excited about for the first day of school. However, I must say that after 18 cookies for Annlee's class, 20 for Kaylin's and 30ish for Maryella's, I'm not anxious to make more anytime in the coming days.

Hello, Kitty!
Little Lady
I've had this cake pan for years. This was what Annlee's 2nd birthday cake looked like. I've always thought it was a cute one, so I was glad to be able to use it again for a little girl's 3rd birthday. It's a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. The key to getting the black buttercream? Start out with chocolate icing! The secret to the red is just to use a lot of coloring!

Beach Time!
My first cupcake order! I made these for a 30th beach birthday and had so much fun with all the little decorations to go on top! That part (all marshmallow fondant) took awhile, but once those were done, the cupcakes came together pretty quickly. 1 1/2 dozzen cupcakes, half yellow cake, half chocolate fudge. Iced with buttercream icing. The sand is crushed nilla wafers mixed with crushed graham crackers. They are packed to travel. And they are packed in a box with my new labels I just printed off last night.
Close ups of several of the cupcakes...

Happy Birthday to Me
I had a few extra cupcakes left over from an order and decided to make each of us a cupcake to enjoy after my birthday dinner. These were my first fondant flowers. They were amazingly easier than I had expected! Cupcakes are yellow cake and chocolate fudge, vanilla buttercream icing, MMF flowers, edible pearl decorations.
Pop!
Whether it's fireworks or cake, we all enjoy a good "POP"on the 4th of July! These were my first attempt at cake pops. The star is fondant and various sprinkles, they are covered in white chocolate and on the inside they are cookies and cream! They certainly weren't easy, but were fun and very tasty!
